Defiance

Post by MorGrendel »

Anyone watch the Defiance pilot? I liked it. Reminds me a bit of DS9. I liked the homages.

Kind of a DS9 crossed with a Firefly is how I would describe it.

Hmmm, I might have to check it out then. I usually avoid anything on the SciFi channel because it tends to be crap.

I'll hold my Firefly references quite yet, but plenty of archetypical females.

Its a little more like Farscape with less Jim Henson puppets. Having said that I liked Farscape and Defiance,

I just hope no one punches me in the butt.

I don't know, that could be a thing . . . of course, that's why I thought you went to RoFo.

Anyone still watching. They almost lost me, but I'm back in hard. Plenty of unexpected turns. My only complaint is I want more story on some of the other races like bioman and whatever the Bartender and Birdy are.

The Bioman is human, they are not another race.

Returns on the 19th, so watch it. Especially since Fox cancelled Almost Human! First Firefly now this. Weeping.

With Defiance coming to an end, now what do I watch?

And don't say anything on Fox or the CW.

How soon before we can talk about the ending?

Whine all you want about the CW, but the Flash is an awful lot of fun. I can go without Arrow, but the Flash has a shear joy to it that is hard to resist despite some of the signature CW melodrama. I highly recommend at least the first season (which i think is on Netflix streaming by now). Tom Cavanagh utterly steals the show as Harrison Wells.

That's really the only other sci-fi TV show out there that I would recommend. Otherwise, my other recommendations are Brooklyn 99 and Blackish. If you're not already watching Brooklyn 99, you're probably dead inside. Best show on television.

I'm loving the flash. Out of all my dvr shows it's the only one I wake up to the next morning to make sure I see it.

Gotham -not bad
Walking dead -always good
Fear the walking dead -they missed a great opportunity on this one
Heroes reborn- I missed the whole first show but it's pretty good so far
And anything that's not a Ravens game. God this is a hard season.

What was your problem with "Fear the Walking Dead" Boag? I liked it. "Into the Badlands" starts soon.
