You have to remember that Kylo got shot with a bow caster which is basically the Star Wars equivalent of a hand howitizer. Han borrowed it and took out five storm troopers with one shot. Cherie hit one in the chest and the guy went flying. Kylo takes a hit, drops to one knee for a few seconds then chases down a traitor storm trooper and a force sensitive, who both have some form of combat training. All that after taking out his own dad and all the emotional baggage included along with that. Kylo Ren is badass, little emo, but badass.
