I don't know if anyone cares, but it appears Warmachine/Hordes has followed suit and gone to free downloadable books. I don't know if they took a hit in sales, but an interesting turn (as I understand it) the rule book is new.

Warmachine is also a skirmish game. As such, they now find themselves directly competing with AoS. They're in the exact opposite boat as Mantic, who went from competing with GW, to being in a market by themselves.
