I borrowed this from the Atlantian mailing list, and I haven't visited all the attached links, but remember that the bridge from 79 to 422 is OUT, so you will probably have to adjust your normal route to Pennsic.

And now it appears the Turnpike is also under construction.

"Six Days Until Land Grab! Definitely time to think about things like Road Construction for those traveling to Pennsic.

Sections of the PA Turnpike are under construction between Breezewood and Cranberry, as are other sections west of there for those who want to swing through New Castle first. Some lane restrictions/closures will only be at certain times of the day, others may be in effect round the clock even if actual work only happens some of the time. Here is the link to the entire list for July:

http://www.paturnpike.com/improve/conschedule.aspx

Most of the items of interest to us (Atlantians going to Pennsic) are near the top of that web page, but those going to New Castle first also want to see the VERY LAST item at the bottom -- route 376 has stretches where there's only one lane in each direction.

Of even greater importance, though, is that the I-79 interchange with Route 422 is under construction:

http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/loc ... ty-674985/

http://cranberry.patch.com/groups/aroun ... ns-on-i-79

Traffic drops to one lane in each direction to use the only remaining overpass while the northbound overpass is being replaced. Southbound backups are pretty horrendous during the day; northbound is going to be ugly in high traffic times. I suggest getting off 79 at exit 96 (Portersville), going west on 488 to route 19 in Portersville, then north on 19 to 422 (it's a LEFT turn to get on the ramp to 422 east), and east on 422 to Currie Road.

But you CAN still get off at exit 99 onto 422; just stay on the right lane and it'll dump you off onto the exit ramp.

Note that the ramp from 422 to northbound I-79 is CLOSED. A detour is posted."

This only reinforces my personal choice to avoid the Turnpike this year and come in across country.

Hope this helps. See y'all soon!

Hey Chris,
Do you know what things on the list Jason took? I captured what he could not find, but I did not specifically ask him what he took. To my knowledge the list looks like this:

Shovel I may bring a second
Axe
Shower
Brush Cutter Thingy
Rake
Stove

Spatula
Spoon
Strainer
One Small pot
One Big Pot
One Flat Pan
Dual Cook Burner
Two Propane Tanks - Jason took one. However, without the converter and attachments, I may recommend we just use the little green cannasteres instead. Grabbed other Propane.
One Tiki per Camper +2 for stairs (Generous estimate) - Tiki stuff is all together, I'll bring it.
Sink - Leaving behind.
Hose for shower and sink. Only one hose was found, so we only have water to the shower. Also no blowback or Y. We really need to keep better track of this stuff.
At least one banner. - I got this
A table
Easy ups- Serban is bringing two
First aid kit mine is old, I swear missy and I bought a new class 3 kit, but for the life of me I can't find it.
Tarps for said shower Jason took one, I'll bring an additional 2

So I grabbed the hose, but not the sink. Do we want water downstairs? Is it even worth bringing it?
On another note, Ray will be a Pennsic Thursday night to Sunday night.
