Hey, it appears they are having some sort of team battles, where archery and thrown weapons work into it.... It might be nice if we got our archers and thrown weapons people out their. This is a two hour hike, so we need to move on a real time, not Galatian time.

In order to celebrate the alliances that strengthen us all, all competitions will be for teams, not individuals. In addition, there are "Alliance Points" that can be won by competitors. The Barony, Shire, Canton, or other group that wins the most "Alliance Points" will be declared Sudentorre's nearest and dearest ally.
Site: The Lee Hill Community Center, 1 HCC Drive (Cosner Drive), Fredericksburg, VA 22407. The hall opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. No alcohol or pets allowed. Site is wheelchair accessible. Parking is limited, carpooling recommended.
Martial Activities: Tournaments will be held for Heavy Weapons, Archery, Rapier, and Thrown Weapons. There is hope for some Combat Archery after the tournaments. List tables will open at 10:30 am with authorizations/armor inspections to follow. Marshal-in-Charge & Heavy Marshal: Baron Turgeis Hakonarson; Rapier Marshal: Mistress Ceridwen ferch Owain ; Archery Marshal: Sayyid Achmed ibn Yousef ; Thrown Marshal: Lord Allen of Wolfhou.
All teams are encouraged to wear colors or some other identifier. Partly for spiff factor, but also as a possible bonus point!
For Heavy and Rapier the teams will be 3-5 people, with no more than 1 belt/scarf per team. There will be limited front engagements, as well as a gate to defend (or take!).
For Target Archery, teams will based on a point system according to their rankings. A team can have no more than 10 points worth of skill. The points are as follows: Novice = 1, Archer = 2, Marksman = 3, Bowman = 4, Grand Bowman = 5, Grand Bowman Elite = 6.
For Thrown Weapons please have teams of 2-3 individuals. All thrown weapon types will be used!
There will be an Archery Marshal class from 12-1. Those who complete the class will be able to do one of their MIT sessions at the event that afternoon.
